ToGo is a Chrome extension designed to help you manage your Google Tasks directly in the browser. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about the data we collect and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

ToGo collects authentication information (OAuth tokens) to securely access and sync your Google Tasks via Google's Tasks API. We do not collect any other personal data, such as your name, email, or browsing history.

2. How We Use Your Data

The authentication tokens are used solely to:

Authenticate your Google account for syncing tasks.
Enable you to add, update, and manage tasks within ToGo.

Your tasks are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API for offline access and are synced with Google Tasks when you are online.

3. Data Sharing

ToGo does not share your data with third parties, except as required to interact with Google's Tasks API on your behalf. Your data is not used for advertising or any other purpose beyond the functionality of the extension.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Authentication tokens are securely handled as per Google's OAuth 2.0 guidelines.

5. Your Rights

You can revoke ToGo's access to your Google Tasks at any time by removing the extension or revoking access in your Google account settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

8. Data Retention and Deletion

ToGo collects authentication tokens and task data via the Google Tasks API solely to enable task management and syncing. This data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API and synced with Google Tasks when you are online. We do not store any user data on our servers.
Task data is retained locally on your device for as long as you use the extension or until you clear your browser data. You can delete your tasks directly within ToGo, which will sync the deletion to Google Tasks. To fully remove all data, uninstall the extension or revoke ToGo's access in your Google account settings (accessible via your Google Account Security page). Upon uninstallation or revocation, all local data is deleted from your device, and no data remains with us.
